Private sailing club located about 15 min drive from Valencia’s city center, between the port and Pinedo’s beach.
Established in 1903 as a private sport association to promote culture and sport related to the sea.
It has a 50m swimming pool, a couple of Tennis courts and a Padel court (Padel is a sport like tennis that is mostly played in Spain).
There is one restaurant and a cafeteria. The service is alright, even though it can be a bit slow at peak hours.
The swimming pool is just for members of the club. However, during summer months, it is possible to access the pool for free by entering pretty late.
It is really nice stroll with the bicycle (around 40 mins) from the city center at a normal pace. It is also well located to go to Pinedo beach or El Saler afterwards.
The ideal plan is to go for a coffee there with the bicycle. You don’t need membership for that. Alternatively, if you are planning to go by bike to El Saler and you want to stop somewhere halfway, it is also a good option.
During the 32nd Edition of the America’s Cup some teams (Prada, BMW Oracle, Alinghi) had their base in the club
In 1992 the club expanded and became the sailing club with the largest surface in Spain with 100000 square meters in land and 250657 square meters in the water.
