Name meaning “saline” in Valencian language, as it was the main economic activity of the area up to the 20th century.
El Saler is a beautiful beach, possibly one of the nicest near Valencia. Also, less crowded. The main inconvenient is that it is further away (15 min drive South of Valencia). Other beaches like Malvarrosa or Patacona ar much closer.
The bus 25 that goes to Palmar/Perellonet stops in Avenida de los Pinares and is ideal to get to El Saler.
In winter the beach is so empty that, despite it being forbidden, you can take your dogs there for a walk (at your own responsibility :D)
Some people practice watersports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing. However, there is not club or school there, so you would need your own equipment.
Where to eat there: Casa Carmina, Restaurant La Dehesa Joaquín Castelló or Arrocería L’Estibador.
