Oceanografic (Aquarium)

  • The largest salt water aquarium in Europe and rated as the second best aquarium in the world according to Tripadvisor
  • Over 7 million litres of water, 40K animals and 500 different species.
  • It is possible to swim with sharks (bull sharks and gray sharks) for about 290€. There are some requirements like having a diving license and booking at least 7 days in advance.
  • Current (Jan 2019) price for adults to enter the aquarium is around 30€
  • Construction by architects Felix Candela and Jose María Tomás LLavador and engineers Alberto Domingo and Carlos Lázaro
  • Representing different sea ecosystems
  • Approximately 100K square meters
  • Opened the 14th of February 2003
  • Located at the East of the city of Valencia and it belongs to the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias.
  • Since 2016 it is managed by a company called Avanqua
